OUR
STORY

The Shiplap Shop & Coffee House is a labor of love founded by Kristin and Gary Rurup, Vicki and Jeff Lemke, and Debbie Hilliker. The business is operated by Kristin and Gary Rurup.

Kristin manages the Coffee House and our incredible team of baristas, while Gary manages vendor relations and the Home Decor side of the shop. Together, they serve the community seven days a week and while many of the items in the shop are created by our team, they consign items from over 100 local artisans.

Our  faith is the driving force behind all that we do and our desire is that all who pass through our doors will feel welcome and cherished.  We are a creative group who love making beautiful things and inspiring others to tap into their inner Joanna Gaines.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a very high level of quality standards, design and esthetic. Our beverages and baked goods have customers coming back daily, while our constant intake of new merchandise makes every visit exciting.

The Shiplap Shop & Coffee House has quickly become a popular venue for events ranging from bridal & baby showers to formal Holiday gatherings. We offer fun, creative classes almost every weekend. Interested in learning how to weave a basket, macrame, paint your kitchen cabinets, create felt florals, paint a masterpiece on canvas? Check out our events calendar and purchase your tickets fast as most classes sell out.

When you arrive, order a delicious espresso drink and a handcrafted baked good, then take a stroll to explore the rest of the store. We offer a beautiful environment to sit and catch up with friends, meet with clients, or just catch up on a little "me time".

We are focused on putting people first, building community and becoming a popular Pacific Northwest destination.
